Brandywine Foods is my (Marion's) new business. I hope to eventually expand into a commercial kitchen, or even a food truck, but I'm starting small 🙂 Specific varieties of breads are as listed, contact us if you need a list of ingredients! All regular loaves are made with 1.4lbs of dough, double loaves are, of course double that, and Gluten Free loaves are made with 1.6lbs of dough. Gluten Free options are baked in the same kitchen as the regular ones, but at a different time and using segregated equipment. I bake first for my family, most of whom have Celiac's disease, so I take great care to avoid any cross contamination. If you react to any other ingredients please let us know when ordering and I'll be extra careful with your order 🙂 When ordering Surprise loaves, please be aware that these may be any flavor loaf we have on hand, and they may even have been frozen. no worries though, my bread has won prises even after freezing 😉 If you order 2 or more surprise loaves we may give you a double sized one in place of two small ones. Slicing is $1 a loaf, and I do use a dedicated knife and cutting board for the gluten free loaves 🙂

We occasionally order chocolate from a company that sends us a grab bag of gourmet chocolate for half the regular retail price. We get whatever they send us, and it "may be" bloomed, broken, or even out of date, but its usually in perfect condition 🙂  This is great chocolate, all from companies that go the extra mile. We get big packs and split them down into more manageable sizes. Just choose a dollar amount, (10, 25, 50, etc) and you'll get an assortment of fantastic chocolate worth at least twice what you paid. I'll even try to honor special requests the best I can (no nuts, dairy free, all dark, etc)

We have Fresh Ugandan Bourbon vanilla beans. They are both fair trade and organic, and whole, undamaged beans, shorter length makes them extract grade, and there are 150-175 beans per pound, (9-12/oz) . Unfortunately, we can't offer the same prices we had before the blight killed vanilla plants across the globe, but they are coming back now, and prices have started to go down again 🙂

We also have dried powdered vanilla beans. These were broken and imperfect beans, grown in Madagascar, otherwise they are just like the others. They are great in about anything. Replace 1 tsp. extract with 1/4 tsp powder in any recipe. It can also be added to coffee grounds, (french vanilla coffee!) or re-hydrated to make vanilla paste.

Made from organic, fair-trade vanilla beans. We do one the traditional way, in a vodka base, and one in glycerin. The vodka is wheat/barley based, and so non GMO, The glycerin is made from coconut rather than corn too, so it's non GMO as well 🙂

Please don't recycle our glass jars! We can reuse them if you bring them back, and we will even pay you to do so! We use glass for honey and vanilla extract, and also for assorted jams and other canned goods in our CSA boxes. so we'll take any of those back, as well as and other glass jars you aren't using (no matter the size!) that fit standard or wide mouth canning lids. You don't have to tell us ahead of time when you return them, we can figure it off when you pick up. But if you know what you'll be bringing us, let us know! Either way you have the numbers here 🙂
